The field is set for the NFC playoffs as the Los Angeles Rams and six other teams begin their march to the Super Bowl. The Los Angeles Rams got tripped up in Weeks 16 and 17 to give away the No. 1 seed, but their path to a title is still very doable.
As the No. 5 seed, they'll face the Carolina Panthers in the wild-card round before likely playing another road game in the divisional round if they win their first game. Here's a look at the seven-team field in the NFC, as well as the first-round matchups for next weekend.
The Seattle Seahawks earned a first-round bye as the No. 1 seed and NFC West champions, so they won't take the field until the divisional round.
2. Eagles vs. 7. Packers
3. Bears vs. 6. 49ers
4. Panthers vs. 5. Rams
The Rams did well to secure the No. 5 seed and avoid two potentially dangerous teams in the Eagles and Bears. They got some help from the Seahawks on Saturday night when they beat the 49ers, but Los Angeles handled its own business by beating the Cardinals on Sunday, too.
Though the Rams lost to the Panthers in Week 13, they're the biggest favorites of any wild-card team next week, giving 10.5 points on the spread. It's a very winnable game, but the road will get tougher after that.
The lowest remaining seed will face the Seahawks in the second round. That could be the Rams if both the Eagles and Bears win next weekend, and Los Angeles also advances. But if the Packers or 49ers pull off an upset, one of them will face the Seahawks.
