NOPE! You obviously don’t watch Steeler games. Tomlin can’t beat good teams & he routinely gets outcoached by the better coaches. Whatever success he had early on was because he had a first ballot HOF QB & coordinators like Whisenhunt & Arians. And he fired Arians lol.
Plus playing in a weak division helps pad the win totals.

Do you know what’s scary?
KK gets fired here. He gets an OC job immediately. Now he’s being interviewed for a head coach position.
Gannon gets fired and already is getting interviews for DC and even a head coaching job.

Makes me wonder if these other organizations see something that we didn’t? Were these two guys not given the resources to succeed? Were these a failure here because of a dysfunctional ownership and front office?
It’s the honest to God truth! This organization under Bidwill is probably never going to succeed on a regular basis. Michael has no damn patience. JG should have been retained until we had a better idea of what this roster could be if it were healthier. Even Bruce Arians said that about JG. And Arians said the greatest attribute that JG possessed was that he was a leader of men & that’s consistent with all the better NFL coaches throughout history.

I get it...you hate Tomlin.

You just can't say its just early success - dude has never had a losing season in 19 years.

Last 4 years - made the playoffs 3 times and never won less than 9 games each year with these QB's:

Yes - give me some of that!

I definitely don’t hate him. I do hate the Steelers. But, I do hope he coaches the Steelers for another 10 years, because I love watching miserable Steelers fans. They’re all around me & they ARE miserable lol. We’ll just have to agree to disagree.

It’s the system.
Look at perennial winning teams and they all have one thing in common.
A system.
Look at the 49ers. They draft a guy like Trey Lance. If it was us and how that turned out we’d be in limbo for years to come. They draft a guy with the last pick in the draft. They insert Brock Purdy who would ultimately fail anywhere else or be relegated to a backup position. They simply plug him in a boom, he and the 49ers compete.
Shanahan and the system.

Move on to the Rams. They cut a guy like Kupp. What happens? The draft a guy ( I believe in the 7th round) named Puka. They plug him in and boom, he excels and the Rams stay competitive.
Sean McVay and the system.

Sean Payton. Within 8 games he dumps Wilson. Enter Bo Nix who was not the top rated qb in the draft by any means. What happens? Boom they are the top seed in the AFC.
SeanPayton and the system.

Andy Reid. Sure he has MaHomes but you look at the players they lost along the way who were major contributors. Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt and so on. They simply plug other players in and continue to win. Why?
Andy Reid and the system.

How long will it take for a position coach an OC moving into their first head coaching job establish their system? How long does he get with a dysfunctional organization.

Look at the Cardinals, Raiders, Browns, Jets. Perennial losers. Why?

See Aaron Rodgers, that is how you do it. Just say good bye
He probably was fired. This is just a way for the organization to be classy and say he stepped aside after giving them 19 awesome years

Trivia question I just heard:

What current NFL HC has more rushing yards in the NFL than Bo Jackson?

They retain his rights though, due to it being a resignation. So I doubt that he was actually fired and given his choice.
