The Toronto Raptors are appointing general manager Bobby Webster as the team's head of basketball operations, and the sides have reached a new contract, sources told ESPN on Monday.

Webster succeeds his former boss, Masai Ujiri, as the lead Raptors executive. The Raptors parted ways with Ujiri on June 27, one day after the NBA draft, and announced that they had enlisted CAA Executive Search to assist in hiring a new team president. Webster will remain in the GM role.

I have not had time to check into the validity of this claim but I read today that with the retirement of John Wall the last standing member of the 2010 draft class is Paul George.

I checked and PG is the only player going into this season under contract unless Gordon Hayward catches on somewhere. Thats insane considering 2009 still has Curry, Harden, DeRozan and Jrue playing at a high level or at least still relevant.

OK, here's my made up trade, Rockets cannot get extension done with KD. They have to use the two Suns first round picks to trade KD back to the Suns, and so they won't walk away empty handed the Suns trade back Green and Brooks.
