Long off-season. Can't wait until camp starts. Haven't been this excited in a while for a fresh start. Feels like the wait for the Bubble season. Expectations aren't that high for team success but it'll be interesting to see whether we're trending in the right direction.

More on the Raptors hire of general manager Bobby Webster.

By Shams Charania, Aug 18, 2025, 11:51 AM ET, ESPN:

The Toronto Raptors are appointing general manager Bobby Webster as the team's head of basketball operations, and the sides have reached a new contract, sources told ESPN on Monday.

Webster succeeds his former boss, Masai Ujiri, as the lead Raptors executive. The Raptors parted ways with Ujiri on June 27, one day after the NBA draft, and announced that they had enlisted CAA Executive Search to assist in hiring a new team president. Webster will remain in the GM role.

I have not had time to check into the validity of this claim but I read today that with the retirement of John Wall the last standing member of the 2010 draft class is Paul George.

I checked and PG is the only player going into this season under contract unless Gordon Hayward catches on somewhere. Thats insane considering 2009 still has Curry, Harden, DeRozan and Jrue playing at a high level or at least still relevant.

LeBron and Luka - could get ugly
Will it? I don't see the Lakers siding with an aging LeBron. I think they are more likely to jettison players who don't get along with Luka. I don't see them not siding with their franchise player.

I hope the whole thing blows up in their face. And I know I'm not alone in that sentiment.

Per a report, the Kings have been trying very hard to trade Malik Monk.
