This one will be interesting to watch to see how right she is. Dr Cheri Ma renowned sleep specialist has worked with the Warriors off and on since 2011. Iggy credited her with extending his career several years by getting his sleep schedule and diet fixed. She has for years said she can fairly accurately predict NBA losses based entirely on schedules, consecutive games, road trips etc because of how it relates to sleep.

Apparently before the season she predicted the Warriors would be 14-11 after the first 25 games because of the schedule, which in terms of road games and nights between was one of the toughest in years. They're actually 13-12 but of course when she picked that she had no idea Curry would miss a bunch of games.

They're currently in the 8th playoff slot will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes.

She also said something like 65% of the time in a West Coast vs East Coast night game matchup the West Coast team wins. It's not just because the WC has been better recently, it's because of the time difference. Peak performance for NBA players is between 4 and 7pm. It doesn't matter where the game is played either. on the east Coast a 7pm game is 4pm for the West coast team so they're in peak time the EC team is playing past peak time. 7PM WC time is just past peak for the WC team but 3 full hours past peak for the EC team.

She was pretty interesting to listen to

He was always more NBA ready from day 1 but he's really just stat padding on a terrible team. I think he's a modern day Demarcus Cousins. By that I mean a guy whose numbers look fantastic but when you look at his team's standing then you see how empty the stars are.

Maluach was the right choice but his floor is lower than Queen. Acquiring Mark Williams was a great thing for the Suns in many ways and one of those is how he's allowed Maluach to develop in the G-League at a slower pace. They're similar players also as far as what they bring to the table and it appears the Valley Suns have tweaked how they're using him. Now he's playing a similar role as Williams. Maluach will be the future, even though i really like Williams I think he's insurance now.
I think being similar players is a blessing. Maluach can learn directly from Williams.

Is there a less likely looking guy in the NBA than Pat Spencer that's actually good? 29 year old ex college Lacrosse player who has won himself a solid role in the rotation because he just is good. His brother Cam is a great shooter and we're starting to see Pat make 3's at a nice clip now too. Cocky as hell, but backs it up.

Different style of player and older but his career arc is like Ty Jerome who the Warriors had and liked but didn't keep and he's gone on to be a really nice player.

I was telling my Warriors friend while watching the game tonight that he looks like a giant Peter Dinklage. It's the mustache and beard and his body looks like a little persons compared to the average NBA players. Plus the fact that he's stocky has something to do with it.

Yep he looks like a guy you'd see at the park or the rec center but then he destroys everyone.

I expected Lively to be the Mavericks future at center. I'm sure Dallas felt the same.
yeah, I hope it works out for him. he's still young, but he's had feet problems and other injuries year after year. he is still young.

Exactly. At age 21, time is on his side. Maybe he can put the injuries past him.

The Cavaliers go scoreless at home in overtime loss to Hornets.

Curious as to how does this happens, especially on the NBA level.

You hope so but there's a pretty good history of bigs with foot problems I think it's just physics for guys that big. Bill Walton being the classic one of course but there have been several others.

That's the surprise for me I knew he was good and would impact immediately defensively and on the boards but his scoring is actually a surprise to me I figured it would take him longer to get to this point.

At media day, Paul was put forth as a credible voice as the franchise dealt with the fallout from a salary-cap-circumvention investigation. It was precisely the type of role it seemed he'd been brought back to play.

But once Paul began playing it, the Clippers seemed to recoil. When he offered suggestions to a player about training methods, he was warned not to undermine the staff, sources said. When he'd challenge players on or off the court, or tell them how to run a play, there were complaints from players and coaches that he was abrasive.

"That's how Chris is," one executive with another team said. "He wears you out. He's convinced he's right -- and he often is right, which kind of pisses you off -- and he'll go around to everyone until you agree with him."

Very sad news - Jason Collins reveals terminal cancer diagnosis

Both my parents at one time had cancer. My uncle died from complications from cancer. My grandmother died from complications from a brain tumor. Cancer is a scourge. Seems like we are so close to massive breakthroughs. Just so tired of this disease taking people before it's time.

I hope the Suns consider bringing back Chris Paul as a coach someday.

I really don't. Not that I don't think he has knowledge. I think he has the type of personality that would become thin with players very very very fast. He pretty much did that everywhere he went. That isn't going to change as a coach IMO.
