New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers had a banner rookie season, catching 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. The 109 receptions were the most by a first-year wide receiver in NFL history. And he did it while missing two games due to a concussion.

The Giants heavily targeted Nabers last year, peppering him with 170 of them, second only to another LSU alum, Ja'Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, who had 175.

As much as the Giants targeted Nabers, he still showed some frustration about not getting the ball, especially on plays where he was open.

You can blame the Giants' carousel of quarterbacks for much of that. Their offense sported a different lineup practically every week. It's tough to gain any traction or establish any continuity when enduring a season filled with long-term injuries to key players.

That aside, Nabers won't change his stance regardless of the Giants' situation injury-wise or whatever. He wants the ball for many reasons. One of them being financial. His compensation is ultimately tied to his performance. The better the stats, the better the paycheck.

"I ain't gonna speak on all receivers, but I’m gonna speak on -- (expletive) it, I’m speaking on all receivers," Nabers said on 7PM in Brooklyn. "We all feel the same way. We don’t like not getting the ball."The Giants should have no issue getting the ball to Nabers this season. They have three very capable arms in Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and rookie Jaxson Dart.

"You told me I was going to get the ball," Nabers said. "I'm getting open and I'm not getting that pill. We've got a problem. We've got a problem. . . . I ain't playing about that ball."

Nabers is the Giants' top receiving option and will hold the Giants to their pledge to get the football in his hands. It won't sit well with him again if he doesn't.
