There's a new defensive coordinator on the Pittsburgh Steelers coaching staff, and he couldn't help but praise one aspect of the Black and Gold defense.

In a one-on-one interview with Steelers reporter Missi Matthews, defensive coordinator Patrick Graham was asked what excited him most about Pittsburgh's defensive roster, and he kept his answer simple.

"The size," Graham said about the Steelers defenders. "The mass of the human beings that we have lined up out there. This is what you envision in terms of your defense to look like, in terms of length, size, mass. They’re just big men. Every time I’ve met one of them, most of them are all bigger than me. And I’m not a small guy, but they just dwarf me. And I’m like, 'Yes, this is exactly what I want it to look like.'"

Graham found much success as defensive coordinator of the Raiders, leading a defense that was top-15 in three consecutive seasons, despite Las Vegas being ranked toward the bottom of the league in defensive spending.

Epitomizing the concept of doing more with less, Graham will have a plethora of defensive weapons to scheme with from Pittsburgh's roster, leaving hope that the Steelers can get back to their roots in 2026.
