Two Volusia-Flagler beach volleyball teams will continue on.

New Smyrna Beach and DeLand were unveiled as state playoff participants when the Florida High School Athletic Association released the brackets live on YouTube on April 24.

The Barracudas already knew they were in after winning the District 6-2A championship. The Bulldogs secured an at-large spot following a loss to Forest in the District 2-3A finals.

New Smyrna Beach (13-5) earned the second seed in Region 2-2A. It sits 23rd in the latest FHSAA rankings and will host fellow district champ North Marion, a seventh seed with a 10-2 mark, in the regional quarterfinals at 4 p.m. on April 27.

The Barracudas have qualified for the postseason in each of the five seasons since the FHSAA officially sanctioned the sport. They finished as the Class 2A runners-up last spring.

New Smyrna Beach currently rides a three-game win streak after sweeping Atlantic 5-0 in the district finals.

DeLand (10-6) will operate as the seventh seed in Region 1-3A. It ranks 60th in the state.

In the regional quarterfinals, the Bulldogs will travel to No. 2 Hagerty (12-2), which captured a district title. The contest is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. on April 27.

The winners will move on to the regional semifinals on April 30.
