All signs point toward the New England Patriotsacquiring A.J. Brown in the very near future.

Fans believe it. Reporters believe it. Players believe it. And, reportedly, the Patriots believe it, too.

"League source: Patriots collectively believe a trade for A.J. Brown 'is happening,'" NFL insider Josina Anderson wrote in an X post Monday morning.

A deal likely wouldn't happen before Monday at 4 p.m. ET, when the Philadelphia Eagles could spread Brown's remaining dead-cap charges across two years. But, at this juncture, there's little reason to believe the Eagles and Patriots won't complete a trade that would send Brown to New England.

Trade compensation remains the major open variable. Will the Patriots part with a future first-round pick, as numerous reports suggest, or will the Eagles settle for, say, a second-round pick and an established NFL player?

We'll just have to wait and see, but we likely won't need to wait much longer to see how all of this shakes out.
