New guy on the block

New to the Valley from St. Louis area. I believe in being a fan of the team where I live. It is going to be very difficult to give up being a Rams fan for the Cards. Hey, as long as its NFL football that's all I need.

Thanks to CardAvenger for directing me to this thread. Finally looks like I found an active Cardinals board.

I've also been looking for a good sports bar to watch NFL Sundays. Someplace in the East Valley - Tempe/Mesa/Chandler/Gilbert area. CardAvenger suggested McDuffy's. A couple of others said Stadium Club. I will be starting an intensive pre-season training program to find the right place before settling in on one for the regular season.

Any tips would be appreciated, especially if you know of any that have good Rams followings.

Welcome Minix. It's tough being a Cards fan. We have the scars to prove it.

Most everybody here in Phoenix is from someplace else and most have divided loyalties.

I agree with Chandler Mike. Jilly's is great. Wonderful food. To be more specific, it is just south of Ray on 54th Street. We will actually have a radio show there on Friday nights beginning August 21.

Our Flagship station is KDUS (AM 1060) in the Phoenix metro area. We will have the 30-minute Dave McGinnis Show every Thursday morning at 7am beginning August 20 (20th is a Wednesday though). The Big Red Rage every Friday night from 6-7pm at Jilly's beginning August 21 (21st is a Thursday though) and we have a the two-hour Pre Game Huddle before every game which starts August 9. We also have a Post-game call in show (Cardinal Talk) after every game as well.

The dates are screwed up in the preseason because of the game schdule, but once we hit the regular season, we should get into a consistent schedule.

I will create a master broadcast schedule for you all in a week or so. In addition, all radio broadcasts will be streamed and archived on www.azcardinals.com

Yeah, I finally put one up. Can you see it ok? I still can't see any images from this site on my work computer. I can only see them if they are inserted through the IMG button.

I can see them on my home computer so I have no idea what my avatar looks like until I get home.
