He was an MVP — edit: and for what it’s worth I don’t think Cam Newton is necessarily deserving of the Hall of Fame either. He certainly has a better case on the merits than Ben Roethlisberger.

He's in the hall of very good. Don't see him ever getting in HoF. If he won the SB, he'd certainly deserve to be part of the conversation, but would still be a bit tough.
He wasn't a bad passer. He was a baller as much as anyone though.

T.O. not being 1st ballot is a disgrace.
That said, A.D. didn't have the same negativity around him with those that actually vote. No doubts he should be 1st ballot. If they want to punish him like BB, TO, etc, then he'll probably only wait a year.
It's pretty stacked though. Gronk and Sherman most likely will be 1st. Ben has a decent chance and I'd be surprised if he's 1st ballot.
Besides that, I only see Whitworth as a shoe in for HoF.
Mr. Botched Canton was easily a lock once upon a time, but that shirt has been ripped to shreds.

He was not great not terrible. But you can't ignore his rushing and impact on the game, which brings him up quite a few notches. Still well below HoF.
Part of HoF is their story. He certainly has a story during his time. If he dove on that ball and won the game, he'd be cemented in NFL history. Still not HoF...but it's at least a worthy argument. 2015 Panthers would never be forgotten.

Dude was so amazing, but he tanked his career. He could have been HoF. But yeah, no chance now.
