Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald and three other NFL legends are being enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame today, permanently etching their place in league history. If you thought that list wasn't starry enough, just wait until you see who could be heading to Canton, Ohio next year.

The 2027 class looks to be as competitive as ever, featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers' "Killer B's" Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell. It also includes the likes of Rob Gronkowski, Cam Newton, Adrian Peterson and Richard Sherman.

Roethlisberger is the likeliest of the three Steelers to enter the hall. Brown has the highest career peaks, but his off-field issues have to be difficult for voters to ignore. Bell played only five seasons in Pittsburgh, skipping 2018 over a contract dispute before returning and never recording another 1,000-yard rushing campaign.

Here's a look at those players and more who could be receiving their gold jackets next year.

2027 Hall of Fame first-year eligible players

  • Le’Veon Bell, RB
  • Antonio Brown, WR
  • Rob Gronkowski, TE
  • Cam Newton, QB
  • Adrian Peterson, RB
  • Ben Roethlisberger, QB
  • Richard Sherman, CB
  • Eric Weddle, S
  • Andrew Whitworth, OT

It'll be quite the decision on the voters' hands.
