The Nebraska women's basketball team will be playing in the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year. The Huskers have earned a No. 11 seed and will face fellow No. 11 seed Richmond in the First Four in Durham, N.C., on Wednesday, March 18.
Nebraska (26-7, 7-11 Big Ten) lost to Indiana in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. Richmond (22-11, 15-3 Atlantic-10) lost to George Mason in the A-10 semifinals.
The winner of Wednesday's game will face No. 6 Baylor on Friday at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The hosts from Duke earned the No. 3 seed as the ACC's automatic bid.
The women's basketball team has joined the men's team in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years. Both teams faced Texas A&M in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
