The Nebraska Cornhuskerswill play a volleyball match at Wrigley Field this season. The Huskers will play Missouri on Sunday, Sept. 6, as part of the Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge Week.
All 18 Big Ten schools and all 16 SEC institutions will match up beginning Tuesday, September 1, culminating with a doubleheader at Wrigley Field on Sept. 6. The other match at Wrigley Field will see Penn State play Kentucky.
Nebraska will also play a match at DePaul on Friday, Sept. 4, at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. This event will mark the first time that Wirgley has hosted a volleyball event. It has previously hosted Big Ten football games.
Cubs President of Business Operations Crane Kenney called the event a historic moment for the famed venue.
Both matches can be seen on FOX, with the first at 6 p.m. CT, followed by the second at 8 p.m. CT.
