Nebraska football released new uniforms yesterday.
Nebraska Athletic Department said this.
The uniforms, which feature updates inspired by classic Husker football design elements, were unveiled on Saturday night at the Hawks Championship Center following the Battle of The Boneyard 7 on 7 event.
Here’s the uniforms:

I am not a uniform guy. I work in IT, and I work at home, and most of the times I end up wearing, well, not work-approved apparel.
Even though I’d say that the font on the numbering is, I don’t know why they did that. I’m thinking we could use something like a formal night font.
Here’s some less impressive takes:
These are awful, god awful….the worst part of it is the 1/4 stripe on the pants

Oh. Oh no. Nebraska….
These would be a decent alternate… but as the “core” home and road unis I just can’t get with it for the huskers. The texture in the numbers is neat, the shoulder stripes make no sense. The font is not great, the pant stripe is dated…. Man this is… https://t.co/bkUr5ueja2

I love Nebraska’s clean scarlet-and-white scheme, and I love the traditionalist nature of their uniforms. They have one of the best and most time-honored looks in CFB.
It brings me no joy to say that I really hate this update to their uniform package. https://t.co/gsA8U3TsaY

This might be the single worst redesign I have ever seen the Huskers didn’t even need get the hell away from adidas #GBR#Huskershttps://t.co/Rzm0oOPtdu

Here’s a big headline for me!
The iconic Nebraska helmet will not change.
And here’s the key:
My professional opinion: win games and nobody will care what the uniforms look like

I am not a uniformed guy. I don’t give a crap if we go out and play in potato sacks as long as we have an offensive line in 2026 that doesn’t allow free rushers when we go back to pass protect.
This whole idea of playing makeup in uniforms, I don’t understand it at all.
Here’s the key, and it’s a big key for most of you.
They did this so that we could sell new uniforms, and they did it because we are drastically probably behind Ohio State and Michigan when it comes to NIL money and the money we put toward the football team. So if it takes sales of new uniforms to get there, that’s what it takes.
Go get a uniform if that’s what it takes to make your team better. Because that’s the game we’re playing now.
