Class of 2027 four-star small forward Donovan Davis has announced the commitment date. He is announcing his college choice on May 6, and Nebraska is among the schools in the mix. Iowa State, Iowa, Marquette, and Wisconsin are also in the mix as well.
Davis is the 81st overall player in the 2027 class, the 18th overall small forward, and the second overall player in his class from the state of Wisconsin, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.
Davis most recently took a visit to Lincoln on April 20. The playmaker visited Iowa State shortly after on April 29. He would be the second commitment in the 2027 Nebraska basketball recruiting class. Ty Schlagel is the only other commitment at this time.
Fred Hoiberg and the coaching staff have traditionally built through the transfer portal. However, a successful 2025-26 season may have allowed them the flexibility to recruit higher-caliber high school players. Davis is certainly an intriguing prospect, and his decision next week will be worth keeping an eye on.
