The National Cheerleaders Association and National Dance Alliance Collegiate Cheer & Dance Championship has returned to The World's Most Famous Beach for yet another year, keeping up the annual tradition dating back three decades.
The annual Florida competition will take over the Ocean Center convention complex and Daytona Beach Bandshell April 9-11, hosting nearly 500 teams and over 11,000 athletes in Daytona Beach, according to organizers.
Initially set to begin April 8, competition events scheduled at the Bandshell were pushed to the next day at the Ocean Center due to weather, according to Ocean Center general manager Lynn Flanders.

The 2026 NCA and NDA College Nationals takes place Thursday, April 9, through Saturday, April 11, at the Ocean Center and Daytona Beach Bandshell in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Daytona Beach has hosted the annual cheerleading and dance competition for nearly 30 years.
The competition is held at The Ocean Center, at 110 N. Atlantic Ave, in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Last year's competition drew an estimated 11,000 competitors along with 20,000-30,000 family, friends and fans, from April 9-13, 2025, the Daytona Beach News-Journal previously reported.
The collegiate cheer and dance championship each year typically draws 470 teams who fill rooms in 38 hotels.
The event's impact to the local economy each year is estimated by the Central Violations Bureau to be $40 million to $60 million. In addition to filling hotel rooms, its attendees also patronize local restaurants, shops and entertainment venues.
The collegiate cheer and dance championships have been held in Daytona Beach each year, with the exception of 2020 because of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, since 1996.
