NC State’s pitching was brutal in Auburn, and not surprisingly, the result was two losses. On Saturday afternoon, Cooper Consiglio couldn’t even make it out of the first inning, surrendering eight runs will recording just one out. The Wolfpack was down 10-0 and up against incredibly long odds before it could get its bearings.
To the Pack’s credit, it did mount two separate rallies, and pulled to within 10-7 thanks to a five-run third that was highlighted by a Dalton Bargo two-run homer.
