A sister of Los Angeles Clippers star guard Kawhi Leonard was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of an elderly woman in 2019.
Kimesha Williams, a sister of Leonard was sentenced Friday to life in prison without parole in connection with the murder of Afaf Assad, an 84-year-old woman, according to the San Jose Mercury News. Williams and Candace Townsel were convicted of the murder of Assad in the bathroom of the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California on Aug. 31, 2019.
According to reports, the two followed Assad, who was allegedly carrying $1,000 cash in her purse into the bathroom. Williams allegedly broke the women’s skull in a robbery attempt. Assad was found bleeding on the floor with a fractured skull. She died four days later.
