ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Friday that the Magic are expected to hire San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Sean Sweeney as their next head coach. This could be just the beginning of good news for Orlando this offseason.

NBA insider Ramona Shelburne appeared on the "Rich Eisen Show" on Friday, suggesting that the Magic might be looking to make a trade for Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.

"I would look at a team like Orlando," Shelburne said. "They're close, they're already making a move, they're going to get a new coach who has some good young pieces."

"This postseason, I think, has completely reframed the trade discussions for Giannis because of how good Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs are."@ramonashelburne thinks there may be more teams interested in Giannis after watching Wemby in the playoffs

If the Magic are pursuing Antetokounmpo, it could complicate the Celtics' chances of trading for him. Orlando might consider offering one of its two promising young players in a deal for Antetokounmpo, potentially sending out either forward Paolo Banchero or Franz Wagner.

The Celtics might be willing to trade their standout player Jaylen Brown, but the Bucks are likely looking for younger talent to build around. With Brown turning 30 this year, he doesn’t quite fit the Bucks’ timeline. They would probably prefer someone younger, like Banchero or Wagner, both under 25.

Boston is poised to encounter stiff competition in its pursuit of adding Antetokounmpo this offseason, and the possible entrance of the Magic into the mix is likely to complicate matters further.
