The Denver Nuggets needed a win in Game 4 to tie their NBA playoffs series against the Los Angeles Clippers, and they were able to do just that. Even better, they got the victory in thrilling fashion.

Early in the fourth quarter, the Nuggets appeared set to cruise to victory with a lead that ballooned to 22 points. However, the Clippers mounted an epic comeback, tying the game at 99-all with less than 10 seconds left.

When it looked like the game was heading to overtime, Nikola Jokic attempted a 3-point heave that had too much force and missed the rim entirely. Luckily, however, Aaron Gordon was there to catch the miss.

What happened next was complete insanity, as Gordon proceeded to dunk the ball while airborne and just before the buzzer sounded.

While officials had to review the play to confirm if Gordon was able to get the ball off before time expired, his shot eventually stood, giving the Nuggets the 101-99 win to tie the series at 2-2.

As the basketball world expressed shock and amazement over Gordon's dunk, the NBA itself chimed in and shared its disbelief while posting a video of the play.

"ONE OF THE CRAZIER ENDINGS YOU'LL SEE," the NBA wrote on X, along with exploding head and face screaming in fear emojis.

After the Nuggets got blown out by 34 points in Game 3, it would have been disastrous and a massive blow in their confidence had they lost Game 4 and fell to a 3-1 deficit.

Thanks to Aaron Gordon's heroics, Denver heads home with some much-needed momentum as it looks to take the series lead.

Sure enough, though, hopes are high that both teams can deliver another electrifying showdown as their series continues.
