It sounds like these tryouts are for the G-League team. I'm going to pack my lunch and get up there. :p

Might as well since everyone on here thinks that they are a better and more knowledgeable coach than what we have. :p

'Happy to say that won't have to be the case for 2019-20.

But all you have to do is look at the record for the past decade to know that! :)

Real optimism. It's a great feeling!

My luck I would get invited to camp when I just wanted to try out for my obitituary list of things I did in life. Please come back for our two week training camp. I would be like, "Are you trying to kill me?"

I tried out for the Arkansas Rimrockers back in 2002. It was a two day camp with a bunch of standard drills. At the end of the second day, they sit down with you and give feedback on your game. My back tightened up (I was only 24) so I couldn't make it to the second day, got my feedback (keep my day job) over the phone. Still got the jersey that I break out for the rec league on occasion.

Can i try out for owner? Sarver ugh lol
It took a long time but, at least, he appears to have stepped back to his
job as Managing General Partner (the bean counter) and nothing else.

We don't know directly what has gone on behind the scenes, but the
eye test indicates that he hasn't tried to micro-manager there.

Or that he is still pursuing moving the team.

We can rejoice . . . but I, as a fan, will never forgive him for wasting
a decade.

Eh... we've thought he'd evolved a couple times now. Just last summer we found out he was overruling draft day trades and then fired his GM in an angry phone call.

He might be in a honeymoon phase with the new management but I fully expect him to insert himself whenever the opportunity arises.

He never attempted or threatened to move the team. Can you please stop pushing that narrative? He's done a lot wrong, more than enough that things don't need to be fabricated to hold against him.

I know what you are saying but this was actually an example of a good move by Robert Sarver.

We, as fans, read the quote, which was retracted the next day.

It is not my narrative. Was he misquoted by a public person?

Or did the loose cannon really mess up, then yield to someone's
pressure to try to un-do it?

Either way, we are indeed just spectators. Who put our hearts
into our home town teams. And are offended by a threat to
move them. Aren't you?

The original quote about this was not from Sarver.

Which is why I asked if he was misquoted by a public person.

If it was not from Sarver, who was it from?

Please substantiate your statement.

I believe it was from a city councilman.
So I assume you're saying that it was the councilman
who threatened to move the team.

Did he misquote Sarver? Or was it his quote? How
could a councilman threaten to move the team to
Las Vegas or Seattle?

Was it? He nixed a trade for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander... I like Bridges but I find it difficult to say he was the better choice over SGA, especially given our needs.

It absolutely was. Bridges, right now, is as good defensively as Booker is offensively. Right now, he is probably a top-ten guard/ wing defenders in the league. He may never develop into a 15 points per game scorer, but he will be an incredible defender.

It was said by a city councilman. Sarver mentioned moving the team from Phoenix to Scottsdale and the councilman spun it into he was moving the team out of the state. Here is a tweet from Gambo that backs Sarver in that he never threatened to move the team out of state. Going from Phoenix to Scottsdale or Glendale isn't an issue, sports teams often play in suburbs of big cities.

And here is a link to the corrected article that Gambo is mentioning.
