Selection Sunday has arrived, and both Clemsonbasketball programs are waiting to learn where their postseason journeys will begin.

The Clemson men’s team will discover its NCAA Tournament destination during the Selection Sunday show airing at 6 p.m. on CBS. Later in the evening, the Clemson women will also learn their postseason placement when the women’s bracket is revealed at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

For Brad Brownell’s team, the expectation is clear: Clemson appears firmly on track to be part of this year’s NCAA Tournament field.

The Tigers enter Selection Sunday with a 24-10 record and have consistently appeared in recent bracket projections. Multiple outlets currently project Clemson as an 8-seed, setting up what could be a challenging path once the tournament begins.

ESPN’s latest projection places Clemson in the West Region as an 8-seed matched up against Villanova in a first-round game in Tampa, Florida. That same pod would also include top-seeded Florida along with the winner of a First Four matchup between Kennesaw State and Prairie View.

CBS Sports released a similar projection, also placing Clemson on the 8-seed line. In that scenario, the Tigers would face 9-seed TCU in the opening round. That pod would also include 1-seed Arizona and UMBC.

Another national outlet, USA TODAY Sports, has Clemson slotted as an 8-seed as well. In its projection, the Tigers would land in the West Region as part of a group featuring several strong teams expected to make deep runs in the tournament.

Clemson’s resume has helped keep the Tigers comfortably in the projected field heading into Selection Sunday.

The Tigers hold a NET ranking of 34 and have been competitive against top-tier opponents throughout the season. Clemson finished with a 6-6 record in Quad 1 games, while going 7-4 against Quad 2 competition. Against lower-tier opponents, the Tigers handled business consistently, posting an undefeated 11-0 record against Quad 3 and Quad 4 teams.

That balance has helped Clemson maintain solid positioning across most bracket projections over the past several weeks.

Now, the only thing left is for the official bracket to be revealed.
