Nation's No. 22 recruit Jarvis Hayes Jr. names his top-4

The Georgia Bulldogs basketball team is among the top-four schools for elite recruit Jarvis Hayes Jr. Georgia along with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Florida State Seminoles and Vanderbilt Commodores are in Hayes Jr.'s top schools.

Georgia has a major advantage over other programs when it comes to recruiting Hayes Jr. The Bulldogs hired Jarvis Hayes Jr.'s dad, Jarvis Hayes, as an assistant coach in April 2026. Georgia also hired Hayes Jr.'s uncle, Jonas Hayes, who is the former head coach at Georgia State. Hayes Jr. is a Georgia legacy. His dad, who played in the NBA from 2003-2010, and his dad's twin brother, Jonas, both played at Georgia.

Hayes Jr. is ready to make a name for himself. He is a four-star recruit and a member of the class of 2027. The 6-foot-5, 175-pound shooting guard is the No. 22 recruit in the country and the second-best recruit in Georgia. Hayes Jr. plays high school basketball for Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. Hayes Jr. is the top shooting guard prospect in America.

Hayes Jr. is a perfect recruiting opportunity for Georgia basketball coach Mike White. The Bulldogs also recently received a major $10 million donation for basketball, which should help Georgia significantly in acquiring talent.
