The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from former Harvard Crimson first baseman and right handed pitcher Gio Colasante. The Harvard star drew interest from a plethora of teams in the transfer portal prior to announcing his Georgia commitment.
Colasante is an extremely talented player who thrives at the plate and on the mound. The senior will join the Bulldogs in 2026 with one year of eligibility remaining, and Colasante should play a massive role throughout his lone season in Athens. The Crimson first baseman ended his final season at Harvard batting .313, while also recording a 4.47 ERA across 11 starts.
Colasante was regarded as one of the top remaining players in the transfer portal prior to his Georgia baseball commitment. 64Analytics ranks Colasante as the No. 11 player in the portal. He was the last top-20 prospect to remain uncommitted.
The veteran spent the first four seasons of his collegiate career at Harvard, and Colasante now finds himself joining a star studded Georgia team.
