Nathaniel Brown has emerged as one of the top German prospects. After transferring to Eintracht Frankfurt last season, Brown immediately made his impact in the top division as an incredibly talented left-back both in attack and in defense. His time with Eintracht Frankfurt has been strong enough for a call-up to Julian Nagelsmann’s squad.
In 2025, when there was some uncertainty around Nagelsmann’s left-back for the national team, Brown actually got his big chance but ultimately disappointed. Since then though, the Frankfurt defender has once again sharpened his game and got the callup from Nagelsmann. Unfortunately, Brown was substituted off at half time against Mainz for a suspected injury.

Sky Germany reports that Brown has undergone an MRI and is now doubtful to join the national team for Germany’s March friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana. This is a major setback for Brown after he had finally earned another callup and was arguably a potential option to overtake Raum in the pecking order.
It is not yet clear whether Brown will join Nagelsmann and the team, but the manager has already needed to call both Chris Fuhrich and Angelo Stiller to replace two injuries already.
