Nate Oats continues to add to Alabama basketball's frontcourt depth.
According to On3's Joe Tipton, Alabama landed the commitment of TJ St. Louis, a 7-foot Canadian center who is unranked in 247 Sports' Composite Rankings system, on Monday.
St. Louis will join the Crimson Tide's roster for the upcoming 2026-2027 season and will be one of five freshmen at Oats' disposal.

He is the only center part of Alabama's incoming freshman class, which also includes five-star strong forward Jaxon Richardson and a trio of four-star recruits in Tarris Bouie, Anderson Diaz and Qayden Samuels.
While St. Louis is the lone freshman center in Alabama’s incoming class, his addition reinforces a clear offseason emphasis from Nate Oats and his staff. Alabama added length and size to its frontcourt through the portal, as it added a trio of centers in Boise State’s Drew Fielder, Mississippi State’s Jamarion Davis-Fleming and Kentucky’s Brandon Garrison.
St. Louis held an offer from Eastern Michigan before committing to Alabama, according to his 247Sports page.
The 7-foot St. Louis brings NBA Academy experience to Tuscaloosa as he was a member of the NBA Academy Latin America before playing for Fort Erie Prep in Ontario, Canada, this past season.
Alabama is coming off a Sweet 16 run in the NCAA Tournament, where it lost to eventual national champion Michigan. The Crimson Tide are expected to be another preseason top-25 ranked team and are slated to play a non-conference schedule that includes The Players Era, St. John's and Houston.
