The Nashville Predators selected United States of America Hockey National Team Development Program forward Wyatt Cullen 10th overall in the 2026 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Cullen spent the past two seasons in the USA Hockey NTDP and has bounced between the NTDP level and the United States Hockey League level.
Through 15 games last season in the USHL, Cullen recorded six goals and 10 assists, totalling the highest points per game total among all NTDP USHL players. In 40 games with the NTDP, Cullen picked up 45 points, flashing an ability to generate offense.
Cullen skated for the USA at the under-18 World Junior Challenge, and was a force in the tournament, recording nine points across five games played. Speaking to the media following his selection, Cullen touched on what the moment meant to him.
"I had no idea Nashville was going to select me. I knew I was going to be in the 10-15 range," Cullen said. "This is everything I've ever dreamed of. I was so happy to be with my family. It was unbelievable."
Next season, Cullen is set to join the University of Minnesota, where his brother Brooks Cullen is also committed to. Cullen is a Moorehead, Minnesota native, and will be returning to his home state as he takes the next step in his hockey career.
Cullen’s father, Matt Cullen, is a former second-round draft pick of the Anaheim Ducks during the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. M.Cullen skated in 1516 career NHL games and picked up 266 goals and 465 assists to go along with three career Stanley Cup victories.
