Predators NHL draft trade details in getting first-round pick from Carolina

The Nashville Predators moved up into the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft on June 26.

Nashville acquired the No. 31 overall pick from the Carolina Hurricanes to select Moncton defenseman Tommy Bleyl. It was the Predators' second first-round pick; they selected U.S. NTDP forward Wyatt Cullen at No. 10 overall.

The Predators sent the Nos. 42 and 57 overall picks, both in the second round, to Carolina to complete the trade.

Nashville now does not have a second-round pick but still owns eight picks in Day 2.
