Huh? He wasn't hacked, he ran into a pick set by Lorenzen Wright.

Nash split the defenders and Wright put a knee into Nash's side and a shoulder into Nash's shoulder. It knocked Nash to the ground and gave Memphis an easy fast break layup. It should have been a foul call because Wright stuck his knee out when Nash started to get by him.

That was a foul!!! Ok..even if the foul didn't call for Nash, what about Wright holding the jersey?? That was funny! I didn't even see until the replay. lol

I think it's a foul. Nash penetrated and you just don't your knee to block his way. You move your FEET in front of him.

Huh? When did defensive players start setting picks?

Nash was penetrating and I thought Posey put his chest right into Nash's shoulder. It should have been called a foul but they only call touch fouls at the top of the key and since he did not use his hands to force him to the floor, it was not a foul (NBA interpretation only).

Wright was on his left, Posey was the guy that knocked him to the floor.

Incorrect, we weren't on offense. We were on defense. Nash was going to fight through a Wright pick, couldn't, and instead ran into him--there probably was some extracuricular activity, like a rogue elbow or knee, but it was definitely Steve Nash running into Lorenzen Wright as he set a pick. It appears jibikao (and perhaps you) are talking about a different play that wasn't the one where he hurt his shoulder.

What game were you watching. This happened on the offensive end. After he ran into Posey, Nash fell to floor. Got up holding his shoulder, the Suns called time out after Memphis scored on the turnover and Nash came out of the game. The trainers were working on his shoulder during the timeout. Hopefully this jogs your memory.

Chaplin, I'm afraid Nash hurt his shoulder while on offense while trying to split a screen.

Just so everyone knows, its not a sprained shoulder. His should popped out of the socket just slightly and was able to put it back in without a problem. This has happened to him before so it wasn't a big deal. THINK MEL GIBSON IN LEATHAL WEAPON MOVIES, ONLY NOT AS SEVERE.

It's the playoffs, these kind of things should be expected if you're the top dog. It's also why BC will probably try and pick up an enforcer in the offseason.

My bad, maybe it was because when Nash got hit, it looked like he was flattened by a pick! :)

It was a clean play IMO--Nash was trying to split the trap on a P&R, and Lorenzen Wright was trying to keep the trap from being split. It was just unfortunate that Nash hurt himself, and lucky that he turned out to be OK.

I'm still mad about Battier's foul on Marion, though.

IMO Jones' foul on Shawn Marion tonight was much worse than Battier's. Did anyone see Anthony's foul on Ginobili last night? He deserved to be kicked out of the game for that.

They did kick him out, Melo is as classless as KMart. Like I said in another thread, in the long run Denver is going to regret they did not draft Wade.

I don't think it's going to take the long run. I'll bet today they wish they had taken Wade. Say what you want about Shaquille O'Neal's presence, but Wade is a great player. He is a better and smarter version of Steve Francis, who actually plays defense.

Last season people gave Odom and Butler a lot of credit for getting the Heat to the playoffs. But when Shaq was angling for a deal to go to the Heat, he insisted that Wade NOT be included.

I don't think Shaq insisted it, he didn't have any choices in the matter. Of course, I don't think he minded that it worked out that way.

IIRC, Pat Riley was very up front in saying that Wade was untouchable. The Lakers tried very hard to get Wade subbed in for Butler, and Riley said no thanks.

I thought I remember reading that that the Heat offered Butler/Odom/Grant or Wade/Grant/Eddie Jones. The Lakers pulled a Dave McGinnis and crapped the bed by trying to fill holes as opposed to getting the best player. It's a mistake they'll probably regret for a long time. :p
