NASCAR race time, TV channel for Iowa as USA takes over

In a year when the “USA, USA” chant has echoed from coast to coast, it’s NASCAR’s turn to get on board.

Except, this time, it’s not about a nation but a network.

That’s right, NASCAR’s divided broadcast schedule now turns to the USA cable network, with some of the 14 remaining races belonging to the cable giant’s national network partner, NBC.

Except for Daytona’s Coke Zero Sugar 400, at the end of this month, and then the final three races of the season, it’s all USA.

No change for the preliminaries, however. The CW will continue broadcasting the O’Reilly Series, while FS1 will continue showing ARCA and the Truck Series, though the trucks are idle this week.

Friday: ARCA's turn to shine alone​

7 p.m.: ARCA race, JR&CO 150 (FS1).

Saturday: NASCAR qualifying and an O'Reilly race​

12:35 p.m.: O’Reilly Series qualifying (CW).

2:05 p.m.: Cup Series practice (Tru).

3:10 p.m.: Cup Series qualifying (Tru).

5 p.m.: O’Reilly Series race, HyVee Perks 250 (CW).

Sunday: NASCAR cranks up its USA schedule at Iowa​

3:30 p.m.: Cup Series race, Iowa Corn 350 (USA).
