The Cleveland Guardians remain in first place. The Detroit Tigers remain in first place.
Both teams are 18-19 but that mark is a half game better than the 17-19 White Sox and 17-19 Royals. The 16-20 Twins are just 1.5 games out. These are the saddest sentences I have written in some time.
Cleveland lost in KC last night by a 5-3 score. They didn’t look all that interested, but they were more interested in playing than they were on Monday. Baby steps!
Tiny silver linings

• This Altuve swing.
• The game was over quick, in less than 2h:10m.
• Mike Trout homered, singled and walked twice to defeat CWS.
