nobody knows if sweat initiated all this or not - if sweat asked to be traded and kept it in house instead of tweeting about it then we may have a decent return - homie got 12 sacks on a hella crappy defense

@DVontel already said it. Verse is one of the most overrated players in the league. Nice player, but will never be in the same stratosphere as Garrett.
But how long will Garrett stay in that stratosphere? TJ Watt fell off a cliff at age 30.

We werent competing with the Rams this year, this trade is good for us long term.

Someone’s gonna get sacks. The worst pass rush in the NFL got 20 sacks (San Fran BTW).

We were 4th worst. Someone was gonna get some of these way sacks. It used to be Dant Still; this year it was Sweat.

Great deal for the Brownies, all things considered.

I think it was good for both teams. Rams get an elite asset in Miles for basically 3 years based on his recently restructured contract. Gives them a shot or two to win it all with Stafford in the twilight of his career.

Browns move off an expensive veteran and get younger as they clearly are in rebuild mode right now. That extra 2027 1st might be huge for them if they need to move up to grab a QBOTF in the 2027 draft. Verse is young and cheap which might make it easier to cut Watson next season.

Yeah good for both sides IMO>

I think it's awful for the Browns.
They only got 1 first round pick for the best player in the league. And it's going to be at the end of round 1.
Verse is a good player. Garret set a sack record getting double and triple teamed every play.

That's a big fail to me.

When the Cards play the Rams twice, they're going to give Paris trip reman and a RB every passing down. And Paris is good.
They'll be playing 9 on 11 every play.

What a great move by the Rams.

I think it's a pretty good deal for both teams. Garrett is a HOF level player. Verse isn't that but he is a Pro Bowl level player and they get a first round pick also. Garrett alone wasn't getting the Browns in the playoffs.

Eh...Verse isn't really a true Pro Bowl player. My reaction to the trade to one of my friends who is a Rams fanatic was that Verse is maybe the most overrated player in the NFL and he agreed.

He's made the Pro Bowl sure, but dude is sporting like 5 sacks with a solid group of pass rushers around him so it's not like he's a focus for the blocking scheme.
