All Mountain West basketball teams completed their seasons a few weeks ago, and March Madness will crown a new champion next week, meaning we are officially in the spring phase of our content calendar. I’m refraining from referring to it as the “offseason” because we all know that there is truly no break when it comes to college sports news.

This year, we are going strong with the baseball and softball content in addition to our usual year-round posts and scattered columns. Take a look below at our spring content schedule:

Mountaintop View will continue to start every weekday by catching you up on conference news and giving you a preview of what else we are rolling out. The rest of our weekly schedule is as follows:

Monday:

  • Mountain West Recruiting Roundup
  • Baseball Rankings

Tuesday:

  • Reacts Survey Questions
  • The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
  • Hike’s Peak Podcast
  • Softball Weekend Report

Wednesday:

  • Columns
  • NCAA Baseball Tournament Projections

Thursday:

  • Softball Rankings
  • A rotation of columns and team-related posts covering football, basketball, and college sports in general

Friday:

  • The Weekend Walkup, previewing conference baseball matchups
  • The Friday Five
  • A mix of columns and interviews

Saturday:

  • Reacts Results

On the horizon:

  • Throughout the spring and summer, we will be looking to add more columns and opinion types of posts to our content. We are experimenting with featuring that more as part of our regular year-round content, and this time of year is a good opportunity for people to get creative.
  • The end of April and into May will cover the NFL Draft
  • The start of June will see our baseball coverage wrap up as we recap the season. We will also have NBA draft coverage, with the draft coming towards the end of the month.
  • Likewise, July will start with MLB Draft coverage.
  • That will pretty much take us to Media Days in mid-July. While the official dates haven’t been announced yet, that will serve as our Kickoff Week and our unofficial start of football season coverage, with our team preview series starting in August.

Your turn: Have something else you want to see us cover this summer? Drop a comment below.
