LOL @ niche market. Spec fic nerds are lapping this up, as well as a lot of the good speculative Apple fare.
That is what niche means (appealing to a subset of viewers). Not sure why that is funny. This show will not appeal to the mainstream.

No, a niche market is a small corner of the overall market, and that is not spec fic viewers. That market includes a lot of mainstream viewers. Gone are the days when geek or nerd were negative words, and a lot of regular folks have that streak in them and watch shows like these.

No, niche means it doesn't have wide appeal to a wide audience and does not include mainstream viewers. I am not saying "nerds" is a negative word either. I am also not saying that a hit science fiction show can't draw an audience. I am saying this show doesn't have lasting wide audience appeal outside of science fiction fans IMO. That applies to MOST science fiction shows. You are not going to get mom and the family sitting down to watch this which to me is mainstream every week like some Star Trek shows, Star Wars or even Last of us. It's doing well out of the gate but many shows do.

It won't last IMO. I could be totally wrong and this show does well. We shall see.

I get it. You don't like it. You've made that clear. I think you're wrong about everything with this show. That said, I'm not going to continue a pointless argument with you over it.

I'm not niche but I love the show. My only quibble is the short episodes. I literally laughed out loud when that happened to Leebeebee at the end of the last ep. :)

The last couple episodes were by far the best episodes of the season. The finale did contain one of the most cringe scenes at the same time. Also, the jump from the last episode to the finale was once again a victim of the short episodes IMO. My feelings have not changed. The show is a take it or leave it for casuals. It's entertaining enough. I wonder where they go in Season 2.
