By the time the Dodgers take the field on Saturday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the first day of the 2026 MLB Draft will have already been completed.

Saturday features the first four rounds of the 20-round draft, with the Dodgers making their first two selections.

Here’s how the Dodgers have done on the field on the first day of the draft:

• July 11, 2021: Dodgers 7, D-backs 4 (Max Muncy walk-off homer, two days before drafting Justin Wrobleski)
• July 14, 2024: Tigers 4, Dodgers 3 (rough weekend for the bullpen)
• July 11, 2025: Dodgers 5, Giants 2 (11-inning win in San Francisco)

The Dodgers had rare Sundays off in both 2022 and 2023 on the first day of the draft.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who leads the majors averaging 6.54 innings per start this season, makes his final start before the All-Star break after being named to his second All-Star team.
