It appears Michigan State football is about to make a big splash hire on its defensive staff.

Michigan State is reportedly "targeting" Arizona Cardinals defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere to be the Spartans' next defensive line coach, according to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. Michigan State insiders for 247Sports Justin Thind and Corey Robinson also contributed to the report.

DeLattiboudere is in his first season with the Cardinals after being hired by the team in February. Prior to that, he worked at the college level with the Minnesota Golden Gophers for a pair of seasons from 2023 to 2024. He, of course, crossed paths with Michigan State defensive coordinator Joe Rossi during his time with Minnesota.

Prior to coaching at Minnesota, DLattiboudere had stops at Charlotte, Oregon and Akron. He played at Minnesota from 2015 to 2019, appearing in 51 career games for the Golden Gophers.
