Although the Golden State Warriors secured a much-needed win over the Dallas Mavericks last night, Monday's contest ended on a somber note. With under a minute remaining in overtime, the arena in Dallas went quiet as Moses Moody appeared to suffer a serious knee injury. Moody stole the ball from Cooper Flagg and had a breakaway dunk in front of him. While jumping near the rim, Moody fell to the floor, grasping at his left knee. A stretch came onto the floor and assisted Moody off the court with a wrap around his knee.
On Tuesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reported Moody has been diagnosed with a torn patellar tendon in his left knee, ending his season with 10 games remaining on the regular-season schedule.

Moody was amidst a breakout campaign, averaging a career-high 12.1 points on 44% shooting from the field and 40.1% shooting from beyond the arc to go along with 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 25.7 minutes per game. In 60 games, Moody started 49 of them for Steve Kerr and the Warriors. Before his injury on Monday, Moody notched a team-best 23 points to lead the Warriors to a much-needed victory in overtime over the Mavericks.
Prior to suffering his knee injury on Monday, Moody missed the previous 10 games with a wrist injury. Moody will join Jimmy Butler (ACL) as the second member of the Warriors to have his season cut short due to a serious knee injury. The Warriors will continue to play with a short-handed rotation down the final stretch of the season, with Moody (knee), Butler (knee), and Steph Curry (knee) all missing significant time.
