This is the 2026 offseason tracker for the Monmouth men's basketball team.
In the current state of college basketball, constant movement happens with rosters on a year-to-year basis. Players entering the transfer portal, some looking for better fits while others looking for more money. Players graduating, going pro, or just focusing on academics -- you never know what will happen. Here's a live journal of up-to-date information of the Hawks roster and news.

More: Monmouth hopes tied to anomaly in today's college basketball - a 4th-year senior
This past season, the Hawks finished the season with a 19-15 record and fell to Hofstra in the Coastal Athletic Association championship game. Jack Collins spent his fourth and final season at West Long Branch and Kavion McClain has no eligibility left after playing just 11 games for Monmouth.
King Rice is staying put, or at least he's not going to UNC. North Carolina has hired former Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone for its open head coach position, three people close to the situation confirmed to USA TODAY Sports. Rice, who played at UNC and interviewed in Chapel Hill for past vacancies, doesn't have any ties to Malone that we know of, so he's no longer in that mix.
Second Team All-CAA guard Jason Rivera-Torres entered the transfer portal. The 6-7 Bronx native appeared in all 34 games and averaged 15.8 points and 8.1 rebounds for the Hawks his junior season. He also led the CAA in steals averaging 2.1 game.
Andrew Ball entered the portal after playing three seasons with the Hawks. This past season the 6-9 Marlton, NJ native started nine games, and averaged 7.9 points.
Justin Ray entered the portal after starting 21 games and appearing in 34 games this past season. He averaged 11.3 points and hit some big shots throughout the season with his 3-point jumper. He scored 25 points against Syrcacuse earlier in the season as a sophomore.
Cornelius Robinson III entered the portal after spending three seasons with the Hawks. The Camden High grad started in 25 games, averaged 8 points and 3.9 rebounds his junior year.
It was announced on Tuesday, March 24 that Hubert Davis was fired from being head coach after losing in the first round of March Madness to VCU. It's been speculated that current Monmouth head coach King Rice will be in the group of candidates vying to become the next coach of the Tar Heels.
