DERRY - Pinkerton Academy and Dover High School, two of the top four teams in Division I baseball, met up for a Memorial Day holiday matinee on Monday, May 25.

Pinkerton scored two runs in the first inning and three more in the third en route to a 5-0 win. Pinkerton improved to 14-4 on the season, while Dover is now 15-4.

Bjorn Miller had two of Dover's three hits, while Ethan Trufant had the other. Pinkerton starter Mason Matuszak struck out five and walked two in the complete-game win.

Dover will end its regular season on Wednesday, May 27 against Goffstown at Spaulding High School.

DERRY - McKinley Fowler, Ari Rizzo and Hannah Curtin all had two goals for Division II Winnacunnet in its loss to Division I Pinkerton.

Elle Emery had a goal and an assist for the Warriors, and Emily Arlington had a goal. WHS goalie Benten Lyford had 14 saves.
