Man its nice to actually win a game, it's been so long. Just a couple quick thoughts this morning:
-JB should be the starter unless he just collapses in a game and costs them the win.
-MHJ got ten targets. This should be a MINIMUM in EVERY game...I'm not joking. Why would you not feature him and feed him the ball? He doesn't have to get 20 targets, but he should be getting an average of at least 12 IMO.
-Our running game is still trash. Bam Knight is fast but when he gets hit there is zero ability to break a tackle. The silver lining is Demercado averaged 5.6 YPC. He should be the #1 RB. If we can get the running game to at least be mediocre instead of garbage this will help JB and the passing game sustain some of this momentum.
-I'm not ready to praise JG and his coordinators because it shouldn't have taken til week 8 for them to finally adopt a killer instinct, but man it was a relief to see them finally try and win a game. I really hope they learned their lesson...You NEVER, EVER take your foot off the pedal. This game even proved it, after an incredible game offensively where almost everything went right, had Cody Simon not made a rare and unreal play defensively...That game is likely 27-24 with a few minutes left in the game where all the pressure would be on the Cards to get a few first downs to win the game. I'm not sure how they would have responded. I know Dallas didn't score there but they were on their way to outscoring us 14-0 in the fourth quarter. They still have to figure that out (getting outscored in the 4th quarter) but they took a step in the right direction.
-Enough has been said about Walter Nolen, but man was it refreshing to see the defense play well! I'm getting greedy but now I want BJ Ojulari to come back and make a difference.
