Too bad you don’t love me no more, girl
Too bad your Dots put me down

  • All season, the Achilles Heel for the UW Women’s Basketball was the tendency for the offense to go missing for extended stretches. That same issue ended UW’s season in an overtime loss to TCU in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Losing to a very good team like TCU in their home arena is no shame, but the way the game played out was frustrating. UW led by seven with six minutes to play, but scored only four points for the rest of regulation. Brynn McGaughy was on the bench with foul trouble for long stretches and the Huskies couldn’t get looks for Avery Howell. The rest of the team shot only 28.9% from the field. Still, the season was a big success for Tina Langley and the Huskies. They return lots of talent and should be a major factor in the Big 1o next year.

  • Another UW Women’s team had a happier weekend. The Softball team continued to blitz its way through the Big 10 with a sweep of Michigan. The Dawgs improved to 9-0 in conference with three competitive wins on the road in Ann Arbor. The Huskies will stay in the midwest with a midweek game against Loyola Chicago before heading to Iowa City next week.

  • FanDuel Sportsbook posted win totals for all Big 10 teams last week and Christian Caple has his over/under picks for each team. Caple likes the Huskies to go over 7.5 wins for the second season in a row. Judging by his picks, he likes Ohio State to be the top team in the conference, but is a little less enthusiastic about the other teams with O/U totals of 9 or more.

  • UW is out to a great start on the recruiting trail, but has not yet received any commitments along the offensive line. Dawgman has a list of UW’s top targets in the trenches with notes on the recruiting trend for each player. Several of these players will come to Montlake for the big visit weekend in early June, so expect plenty of movement around that time.

  • Following a dreadful start to the season, UW Baseball had won six of seven going into the weekend. They had to travel to LA to play three games against #13 USC and those games were a reminder of how far the Huskies still have to go. The Trojans swept UW and none of the games were closer than five runs.

Dawgman has been able to confirm that top 2027 OL target @lincoln_mageo has locked in his official visit to @UW_Football for June 19th. He's also working to set up visits to #OhioState#Utah#Michigan#Texas & #Arizona@Dawgman247@KimGrinolds@Chris_Fetters@BlairAngulopic.twitter.com/sPixGslRvf

More on new Washington special teams analyst Brett Arkelian, author of “The Kicker’s Bible”, who comes to Seattle after recent stops at Utah State and New Mexico, where he helped both schools improve greatly on special teams. https://t.co/qLKVmbVXgA
