Agent shuts down Besiktas talk
Recent claims suggested the 34-year-old had already agreed a one-year deal with Besiktas. His agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, moved quickly to kill that story. He wrote: “I personally do not know where Mohamed will play next season. What does that tell you?” That is clear enough. There is no point dressing it up.
Abbas also added: “We still do not know where Mohamed will play next season but we may know very soon. It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn’t want to play for, just for the sake of noise.” Again, straightforward. Turkey and Saudi Arabia remain options
Interest from the Turkish Super Lig is real. Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have all been mentioned, which fits with the recent ambition shown by clubs in that league. Saudi Arabia has also been linked, though reports around salary demands have complicated that route.

Whatever comes next, Salah’s Liverpool legacy needs no debate. He helped deliver two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, two EFL Cups and the Community Shield. Individually, he won four Premier League Golden Boots and collected the PFA Player of the Year award three times, in 2018, 2022 and 2025.
