You read an article from a four day Euroleague evaluation that convinced you he is worth our draft pick, and are telling me to believe what I want?

That report DID NOT convinced me that he worth our draft pick. I have seen some of Batum's game, I follow him for a few seasons now, I have also read scouting reports... and I made my opinion. I already said I am not sure how good he will be in the NBA. I have a feeling he could be great that's all.

Actually I have even admit he is sometime passive and sometime inconsistent.

I tell you to believe what you want because you just look at the negative things and don't care about the positive. If you are interrested in Batum read my comments, if not don't.

Thanks for the comments, Batum is an interesting prospect. I sure would like to see him play, thats the only way I could get my own opinion on his talent level.

For information, Le Mans is qualified for the semis after a 74-65 win over Cholet.

Batum stats 13 pts (5/11 FG, 2/3 3pt) / 2 rbds / 2 ast in 32 minutes

The one stat people keep missing is that Batum is 19 years old. I fear he may be great prospect in a few years, but may not be emotionally ready.

We don't need to sign him right away. Let him mature one more year in europe and join the team after Shaq and Nash retire.

Eric Gordon seems to be slipping more everytime I look at the mocks. I wouldn't be suprised to see him drafted by the Suns at 15 if he falls a few more spots.

no WAY gordon falls THAT far. he's supremely talented. pro body already. a bit outta control, but not so much that he's incapable of working within an offense. i see him as the closest thing to dwayne wade in a looong time. no way he makes it outta the top 10. i'd go nuts (ala our michael finley draft of years ago - ask cheese, he was bewildered by reaction) if we landed him somehow.

I've never seen one of Gordon's big games, but saw some where he looked just awful. I'm not that high on him because I fear he's too short to be a top defender. If he's the next Dwayne Wade, everyone will kick themselves for passing on him, but Wade was unbelievable in the tournament and Gordon was not.

As of today, I'm wishing the Suns could draft Javelle McGee at #15 (probably not available then) and somehow get PG Ty Law and call it a day. McGee's talent level is scary good. I sure wish the Suns could buy or trade for another first round pick.

wade wasn't a freshman.

gordon's team was in turmoil from the sampson fallout. gordon was very VERY good prior to all that.

I suppose you were referring to some mock draft sites on your first page.

Nevermind. :)

Yes, I just wanted everyone to know that I updated the original post with what the Mocks are predicting for the Suns today.

draftexpress.com appears to be the only mock to take the Rush rumor seriously, but they continue to have him at #15. Since most mocks are not slotting yet (matching who is available to what the teams need), it may be a couple of weeks until we get a better feel for this.

A guy that is VERY intriguing to me so far as a possible 2nd round pick available for the Suns would be PG Brian Roberts out of Dayton. Out of all the mocks that show projected 2nd rounders, none of them so far have him even being drafted. He's 6'2" 175 according to Rivals.com, and in his senior year he put up 18.4pts, 2.8rbs, 3.4asts. From the stats that I was able to find in the 3 games at the Orlando Pre-Draft camp he put up:
11pts, 4asts, 4tos
13pts, 13asts, 0tos
17pts on 5-7 from the field and 6-6 FT

He has played very intense defense and has been one of the best offensive players in the camp. In the first 2 games, he has shot 3-4 3pts.

If he is available at #49, he could be a very good prospect for that pick.

draftexpress said he did pretty well yesterday

http://www.draftexpress.com/article/NBA-Pre-Draft-Camp,-Day-Four-2905/

Brian Roberts might have had the best single game of anyone in day three, scoring 13 points to go along with 13 assists and no turnovers. He pushed the ball extremely well in transition, found open teammates spotting up and cutting the basket all game long, and shot the ball beautifully from mid-range and behind the arc. He’s emerged at this camp as a player that teams need to seriously consider on their draft boards.

Roberts seems to have possibly worked himself into the 2nd round. He wasn't considered a threat to even be drafted but after what he has done in Orlando, GM's have been talking and he may be picked in the 2nd.

The depth of this draft means that guys not listed in the top 60 may still be possible NBA players. In past years the guys after say 35 to 40 were had too many flaws to be more than camp fodder. That's why Strawberry is viewed as a real steal.

There are several point guards who will be available at #48, although I can't say any of them appear to be a budding star.

Chalmers - Kansas - He had a terrific game against Memphis. He's not a super athlete, but plays good defense and is a very good shooter.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Mario-Chalmers-278/

Lester Hugson - Tennessee-Martin He played at a small college, but caught the attention of a lot of people when he scored 35 points against Memphis and when he had the first quadruple double in Division 1 history.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Lester-Hudson-5065/

Jamont Gordon - Mississip State - He played PG dispite being 6'3" 225. Seems to be more of a combo, but has the size and athleticsm to be pretty good.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jamont-Gordon-290/

Pargo - Gonzago - 6'2" 219 - Seems to be another combo, but has some distribution skills even if he has too many turnovers.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jeremy-Pargo-1153/

Sean Singletary - Virginia - He's not generally expected to be drafted, but has some talent:

Sean Singletary also had a nice showing, displaying excellent creativity and court-vision distributing the ball, and also being very aggressive as a scorer, finishing the game with an impressive 15 points and 8 assists. He may have over-dribbled at times and is likely kicking himself for missing all three of his attempts from beyond the arc, but it was good for him to break out of his shell here finally.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Sean-Singletary-448/

Jamar Butler - Ohio State - Played #2 slot when Conoly was on the team, but returned to PG last season on a team that won the NIT. Had to drop out of the Orlando combine after playing well at the Portland combine.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jamar-Butler-1090/.

Bottom line is that ther are a lot of interesting PG prospects, but some do not project as being any better than Strawberry. A guy like Chalmers who can shoot might be useful even if Strawberry develops quickly .

Le Mans won the first games of the semis at home against Roanne 82-67.

Batum: 15 pts (5/9 FG, 3/7 3Pt, 2/5 FT) / 2 rbds / 6 ast / 2 stls / 3 PF / 4 TO in 31 minutes.

I did not see the game, but these stats look rather good. I would just like more rebounds, more 2 pts FGA (only 2) and less TO.
