MM 7.3: Maryland field hockey sends 12 Terps to Senior Nexus Championship

With a team as talented as Maryland field hockey’s, it came as a shock to many when it missed the NCAA tournament for the second time in the last three decades. Nevertheless, those talented pieces look to make waves in the offseason as 12 Terps were selected to participate in the Senior Nexus Championship.

This batch of players includes nine returning Terps. The players are as follows: forwards Maci Bradford, Skylar Gilman and Jordyn Hollamon, midfielders Brinkley Eyre and Aida Lerubino, defenders Erin Callahan and Sarah Walker and goalkeepers Alyssa Klebasko and Ryleigh Osborne.

The contingent also includes three incoming players, allowing forward Kendall Gilmore and midfielders Ella Beach and Lily Michell to showcase their talents before playing in a collegiate game. The three rising freshmen make up the entirety of head coach Missy Meharg’s 2026 recruiting class.

The Senior Nexus Championship provides collegiate players with an opportunity to earn selection to the 2026-27 U.S. U-21 Women’s national team and other national team selection opportunities. The championship will occur in Virginia Beach, Virginia, from July 17-19.
