Georgetown got the better of the Terps in their first year under head coach Buzz Williams — as several teams did — with a 60-50 win in Xfinity Center. The Terps will look to return the favor against the Hoyas, who finished last season 16-18 and 6-14 in the Big East.
Maryland football will also take on Purdue on Nov. 7, providing the opportunity for what could be a rare day of double delight for fans of the university’s two revenue-earning men’s programs.
