Maryland football bolstered both its 2027 and 2028 recruiting classes this week. First, 2027 interior offensive lineman Jon Panagou committed to the Terps Wednesday, before 2028 running back Jerome Larue Jr. added on Thursday.

Panagou hails from South Hamilton, Massachusetts, and is a three-star prospect standing 6-foot-4 and 295 pounds. He also had offers from Syracuse, UConn and UMass among others. Panagou is Maryland’s third 2027 recruit.
Larue is the Terps’ first 2028 commitment, standing 5-foot-10 and 186 pounds from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He’s not yet ranked in 247Sports’ system, but that’s likely to change — Larue has offers from Indiana, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and others.
