MLB has completed the first 12 weeks of the 2026 season. Specific players have continued producing great numbers, while a handful are missing time due to injury. Now is the time when player production starts garnering attention for All-Star rosters. Entering Week 13, here are the top ten starting pitchers in the league.

Jacob Misiorowski is having a phenomenal start to the season. Entering the week, he leads MLB starting pitchers in WHIP and strikeouts. He is one of the front-runners for the NL Cy Young Award.
Schlittler has been on a tear since his first start of the season. Entering the week, he is second in WHIP among MLB starting pitchers. He leads the Yankees in wins, WHIP, ERA, and strikeouts.
Sanchez is having an outstanding season. Entering the week, he is tied for first in ERA and second in strikeouts among MLB starting pitchers. He has been Philadelphia’s top starting pitcher.
Yamamoto has been electric over the past month. He’s found his groove after having modest success in the first month of the season. Last weekend, he came up short of a no-hitter.

The rookie is having a fantastic rookie season. Entering the week, Burns is tied for fifth in WHIP, eleventh in strikeouts, and sixth in K/9 among MLB starting pitchers. He will be among the finalists for the NL Rookie of the Year Award.
Ohtani is having tremendous success in his first season as a full-time starting pitcher since 2023. Entering the week, he has an ERA and WHIP below 1.00. He has been Los Angeles’ best hitter and starting pitcher.
He’s back on the mound after a short stint on the injured list. Entering the week, he’s third in strikeouts among MLB starting pitchers. His return is big for the Blue Jays.
The veteran has played a key role in Atlanta’s comfortable lead atop the NL East. Entering the week, Sale is fourth in K/9 and tied for eighth in strikeouts. He isn’t showing signs of slowing down.
