The 2026 MLB season is through six weeks. This is the time when players break out of early-season slumps. Certain players are continuing their outstanding production. This is what sets baseball apart from every other sport. Entering week seven, here are the top 10 relief pitcher rankings in MLB.

He’s an elite and dominating hitters in each game he appears in. Entering the week, Miller leads MLB in saves. He is gearing up to win MLB’s top relief pitcher award.
The Red Sox are trying to right the ship. Entering the week, Boston has been one of the worst AL East teams. However, the elite veteran closer continues to close out games when the team is leading.
Duran has been a bright spot for a Phillies team trying to get over early-season struggles. Philadelphia has been outscored this season, but when they lead in the ninth, Duran has been automatic at closing out games. He spent a brief time on the IL. He returned early this week.

Atlanta is sitting at the top of the NL East, and Raisel Iglesias has been lights out when healthy. The veteran closer has been one of the top performers in the early part of the season and is now back from his brief IL stint.
The veteran has taken over the closer role in Tampa Bay. He’s been electric with one more than one strikeout per inning pitched. The Rays have a way of getting the most out of their pitchers, and Baker is the next in line.
O’Brien has been a godsend for St. Louis’ bullpen. Entering the week, he’s among the league leaders in saves. Having the ninth-inning job secure gives the Cardinals the chance to keep up in the NL Central.
Suarez has been one of the best setup men early into the 2026 season. He has been phenomenal in his first season with Atlanta. When Raisel Iglesias missed time, Suarez took over the closer role and was lights out.
The second-year reliever has been electric. He ranks in the top five in holds and is one of Arizona’s most reliable relievers. If Paul Sewald struggles at any point, Morillo is the favorite to take over the closer role for the Diamondbacks.

Sewald’s success in closing out games has aided the Diamondbacks fight for the division. The season is in the infancy stage, but Sewald has solidified the ninth inning of games. By the end of the season, the veteran closer will be among the league leaders in saves.
The veteran has been outstanding for Toronto. He’s been one of MLB’s top setup men and is in the top five in holds. He continues to produce each season.
