Mason Miller has been the most dominant closer in the early part of the season. He is one of two closers with an ERA and WHIP below 0.90. Entering the week, Miller is perfect in his save chances.
Smith has returned to elite form following struggles through the first weeks of the season. Entering week eleven, Smith leads MLB in saves. Smith is starting to gain ground on Mason Miller for the strikeout lead among closers.
Sabrowski has been as good as any Major League reliever. Entering the week, he leads the league in holds. The Guardians’ bullpen has the league leaders in saves (Cade Smith) and holds (Erik Sabrowski).
Louis Varland has taken over as the Blue Jays’ closer. Varland has been outstanding in the ninth inning. Entering the week, he is perfect in save chances and has an ERA below 0.35.
Boston Red Sox pitcher Aroldis Chapman (44) reacts after a pitch is called a ball in the ninth inning of the MLB Opening Day game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Boston Red Sox at Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati on Thursday, March 26, 2026. The Reds lost the season opener, 3-0.
The veteran hasn’t been affected by Boston’s brutal start to the season. Along with San Diego’s Mason Miller, Arold Chapman is one of two closers with an ERA and WHIP below 0.90. If the Red Sox decide to trade pieces at the deadline, Chapman will be the top reliever available.
It took two months, but Raisel Iglesias finally surrendered a run. His scoreless streak, to start the season, is over, but he’s still been one of the most dominant relief pitchers. Entering the week, he is perfect in save chances.
Duran is dominating the ninth inning. Entering the week, he has a WHIP below 1.00 and an ERA below 1.55. He has the fifth-most saves in MLB.
Garcia has been the best reliever in Baltimore’s bullpen. The team’s setup man enters the week with an ERA and WHIP below 0.75. His name will be in contention for the AL All-Star team.
Lee has become a reliable relief pitcher in Atlanta’s bullpen. Entering the week, he has a WHIP below 0.65 in 27.2 innings. If Raisel Iglesias suffers an injury, Dylan Lee would be the first option to move into the Braves’ closer role.
The veteran has found success in his first season in a closer role. Entering the week, Baker is third in saves among MLB closers. Continued success can earn him the first All-Star selection of his career.
