Mizzou has staged a four-star flip from the Plains.
Missouri football flipped the commitment of four-star running back and St. Louis native Kingston Miles from Auburn on Monday, giving Eli Drinkwitz’s team its fourth high school commitment in its 2027 recruiting class in the past two days. Miles confirmed his commitment to Mizzou with a post to his Instagram account.
Miles had been committed to Auburn since June 1 but is now planning on remaining in his home state.
The running back plays his high school football for St. Mary’s in St. Louis, which is the alma mater of current Mizzou tailback Jamal Roberts. Recent Mizzou grad Kevin Coleman Jr., a wide receiver who was drafted in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, also attended St. Mary’s.
Miles is listed at 6 foot and 195 pounds, and he is rated as the No. 291 player nationally in the recruiting service 247Sports’ composite rankings. Miles is the No. 21-ranked running back and the No. 6 player out of Missouri in his high school class.
Mizzou now has commitments from six of the top-10-ranked players in the Show-Me State in this recruiting cycle, as Miles joins four-star tight end Jack Brown, four-star wide receiver Chris Harris Jr., four-star offensive lineman Kyler Kuhn, four-star linebacker Kobe Rhymes and three- star safety Keiran Govan.
Drinkwitz and his staff have landed verbal commitments from four players in the past two days. Kuhn, like Miles, committed to MU on Monday. On Sunday, three-star cornerback T’ari Miller and three-star offensive tackle Jaylen Hill also committed to Mizzou.

With the addition of Miles, Mizzou likely will have the nation’s No. 25-ranked recruiting class at 247Sports, when the ratings update. That is good for No. 9 in the SEC, as the Tigers now have 18 players verbally committed in their 2027 high school class.
